Tutorial: Learn To Draw Monarchs

Have a blank sheet of paper and a blue coloring pencil (for ghost lines). 

Draw a big rectangle on the paper for your butterfly to fit in. Add a vertical and a horizontal line in the middle. 

Draw a long rectangle to indicate the butterfly body on the center vertical line. Make it a little lower than the middle. 

Give your butterfly body a small round head. 

Starting at the bottom of the head circle, draw lines to the top corners. 

Starting about half way down the body, make diagonal lines as pictured.
